QL Security is committed to pursuing ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification as soon as practicable. This certification will provide a structured framework for managing our environmental responsibilities and demonstrate our commitment to environmental best practices.
Carbon Footprint Reduction
We are committed to understanding and minimising our carbon footprint through:
Remote-First Operations: Our business model embraces remote working as the default, reducing commuting-related emissions and the need for office space.
Digital-First Approach: We operate primarily through digital channels, minimising paper usage and physical resource consumption.
Sustainable Technology: We select technology providers and platforms based on their environmental credentials and energy efficiency.
Energy Efficiency: Where we use office or co-working spaces, we prioritise energy-efficient facilities and practices.
Travel Minimisation: We use video conferencing and digital collaboration tools as the default for meetings and client engagements, reserving travel for situations where in-person presence genuinely adds value.
Future Carbon Offsetting
Whilst carbon offsetting through tree planting and similar initiatives will not be implemented in our first year or two of operation, we are committed to incorporating these practices as our business matures. We will:
- Calculate our carbon footprint once we have sufficient operational data
- Identify appropriate offsetting programmes aligned with our values
- Implement carbon offsetting schemes that deliver genuine environmental benefit
