About this checker

This free check works out which of the EU AI Act’s transparency rules apply to your organisation. Four of them bear on publishing and customer-facing AI: labelling AI text that informs the public, disclosing AI images of real people or events, telling people when they are dealing with an AI and marking the output of any generative tool you supply. By answering eight questions about what you publish, how it is reviewed and who is responsible for it, you will see a clear position on screen. We will then email you a personalised report with the reasoning, the duties behind it and the conditions of the editorial exemption as a checklist.

It is written for marketing, communications and content teams as much as for governance ones, so it asks about your publishing process rather than about clause numbers.
